A Tail of Much Fur

Some furry trespassers found their way to our land this past week. For three days, these friends trotted and grazed on the pastures around us. My sister Genevieve was thrilled—she certainly hoped that nobody would claim the horses and that we would be able to keep them. Having a horse has been her dream for… well, forever! I guarantee you that God’s telephone prayer line rings off the hook with her requests for a horse!

Her horse ownership was short lived, however, for the horses already had owners, we found out. Lucky and Blaze were led home on Saturday. Nevertheless, I have a feeling that Genevieve’s horse prayers will be steady until she gets her dream pet!

Though I’m not the animal person at our house, I would like to see Genevieve’s prayers get answered. Did you know that God cares about the things we care about, no matter how petty or shallow we may think they are in His eyes? God knows the desires of our hearts, even before we do. He also has our best interest in mind. He knows if what we want is the best thing and the right thing for us, or if there is something even better up ahead.

When you comment today, tell me: What are you praying for? or When was a time that God answered a prayer for you?

Don’t hog all the fun! Share with your friends via Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest. Remind them to subscribe at the bottom of the page! Also, let me know how you found out about Everything Pretty Much by taking the poll under the Contact tab (you might as well send me a hello note while you’re at it).

Your friend, Marjorie

P.S. An Additional Note Concerning Pet Drama

Unfortunately, Mustard, the feline star of July’s post, Curiosity (Nearly) Killed the Cat, died a sad, lawn-mowed death about a month ago. I guess this proves that cats don’t actually have 9 lives, and that, while curiosity wasn’t able to kill him back on the 4th of July, a brush hog could. =O

Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart’s desires. {Psalm 37:4 NLT}
